Wider is an unconventional investment company focused on start-ups and early-stage projects. We believe in the entrepreneurial drive of founders, and measure our success by their dedication, commitment and results. Wider has no specific industry or sector focus, and believes that strong ROI is based on choosing the right people with the right motivation. We evaluate every opportunity.

What is "Social Responsibility"?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company act responsibly towards itself, its stakeholders and the public. By practicing CSR, companies can be conscious of the impact they have on society, including economic, social and environmental aspects.
Engaging in CSR means operating the business in ways that improve society and the environment instead of contributing negatively to them.
Wider and CSR
Wider is a small investment company, but we have a strong focus on CSR. We invest in companies that have clear CSR visions and apply those visions in practice over time.
Wider Holding AS also supports the local sports club through sponsorship agreements with football and handball, with the goal of giving all children equal opportunities to participate in sports activities.

About Wider
Wider Holding AS is a small investment company located in Kolbotn, just outside Oslo, Norway. The company was founded in 2016 out of a genuine interest in start-ups and early-stage companies. We invest in companies that need capital and/or guidance on business processes and operations.
Wider has an investment horizon of 2–4 years and seeks exits or an active dividend strategy after this initial phase.
Wider is operated by its owners, Geir Ivar Westen and Bente Westen.
The name Wider is not a coincidence. The company changed its name from WBG Investment Fund to Wider Holding AS in 2018 to support its growing activity across different sectors, in line with the vision of the company and its founders. “Wider” expresses the intention to think outside the box and consider every opportunity. Wider is not tied to one industry, as business knowledge is universal and not dependent on operational expertise.
