Wider has no specific industry or sector focus, and believe that good ROI are based on choosing the correct people with the right motivation. We evaluate every opportunity.

What Is Corporate Social Responsibility?
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable—to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, also called corporate citizenship, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental.
To engage in CSR means that, in the ordinary course of business, a company is operating in ways that enhance society and the environment, instead of contributing negatively to them.
Wider and CSR
Wider is a small holding- and investment company, but still have CSR at heart. We invest and engage in companies that has clear visions related to CSR, and apply it in practice over time.
Wider Holding AS is sponsor for the local sports clubs through sponsorships with the football division and handball division, with the objective to increase the possibilities for all children to participate in sports activities on equal basis.

About Wider
Wider Holding AS is a small holding- and investment company located in Kolbotn, close to Oslo, Norway. The company was founded in 2016 on a true interest in start-ups and early phase companies. We make investments in companies that need capital and/or guidance on business processes and operations.
Wider has a 2-4 year horizon on investments, and seeks exits or active dividend strategy following this initial phase.
Wider is operated by the owners, Geir Ivar Westen and Bente Westen.

The Wider name is not a coincidence. The company was renamed from WBG Investment Fund in 2018 to Wider Holding AS in support of the increasing activities in various sectors, and to align with the vision of the company and founders. "Wider" expresses in itself that the company intends to look "outside the box" and commits to evaluating all opportunities that arises. Wider is not industry bound, as business knowledge are universal and not linked operational competence.
